Man you guys make my posts about bike problems popular......lol

Well if i didnt check the oil yesterday i bet it would have been close to locking up..... i put probably 3/4 of a quart in.... like i said that all went away in 3 rides or so.... its lookin pretty bad.... but ill check.... maybe ill change the oil and filter and start from scratch...then see what it consumes.... wtf..... anybody else wanna light thier bike on fire ever?

The shop has a 06-07 klr650.... maybe they will give me a good deal on it......

good luck with that bro. and yes i have had a bike i wanted to light on fire too. my wife would'nt let me[&o]. probally a good thing. i sold the bike, double for what i paid for it . don't forget marshmellows if you do...lol

anybody have ok luck trading in? I think im gonna go see about that klr..... have the wifes ok to check it out.... so we will see.... what do you think my bike is worth, or what i can get for it?

Seriously thou, you should get $3,500 easy. If you do switch bikes make sure its gonna do what you want, the klr is not a light dirt bike. If you are thinking klr make sure you look at or consider a used ktm adv

BTW ever since I have gotten that ktm adv the klx seems like a fun light little toy that loves the sand. The ktm is a LOT of work to ride offroad and it is more offroad orientated than a klr. Keep it simple just get both.

i wish i could man..... dont have deep enough pockets for that.... we will see.... im going to stop in and see that klr tomorrow.....

If your bike is burning that much oil, shoudln't it be smoking considerably? I'd think you would at least see/smell it? Maybe an upper oil passage is plugged and the oil is building up somewhere?

Unless his head is hanging out his rear i really don't know how he'd see it out back!?......... he obviously can't see the smoke when he is riding..It all come down to cleanliness when rebuilding the motor........no further comment as i could go on a real tear here......
