Default big gun repacking?

i have herd a few different theorys about repacking the big gun. Some said 10hrs and someone said 20 + hrs... so my question. How do you know when it needs to be repacked? is there a way to tell? Im on my klx almost every day after work... i dont want to screw anything up... ill try to make an educated guesstimate... when the packing blows out it will just get louder right? its not gonna hurt anything... any input would be great.

pic of me and my dirty bike..

Default RE: big gun repacking?

From what I understand reading on the forums, yes the exhaust will get louder and you may loose a little performance. Of course you could just head it off and change it regular like changing your oil. It also depends on how well jetted your bike is and how hot it gets.
Thats one of the reasons when I do get an aftermarket exhaust I'm going to get the aussie Staintune, it never needs repacking.

Cheers

Garry
