The Black Gap step up I agree is not hard at all, there are area's that have been washed out and those are the area's that at least when I was there were challenging.

Washouts. Remember two Decembers ago when they had all that flooding in the Big Bend area? The River Road was closed for many months, and highway 170 was even closed for quite some time. We had a group down there after all that. I was blasting along on the section of River Road that was open near Rio Grand Village. I hit upon a 4' deep cut-bank in one of those arroyo crossings doing about 40 mph with no hope of stopping. I gassed it off the lip to keep from nose diving, and it worked. However, I did stuff into the sand bank on the other side, but the bike stayed upright. It was a hoot, and I felt like I cheated death.
