But you did have an issue where if you worked the throttle aggressively it stumbled, no? What cleared that up?
Proper jetting cleared it up. I see your signature, is that all your current mods exactly how your bike is now? I'd say maybe try running a 128 main. I know your at 5k feet but mine runs great a sea level and above 5k with a 128. Worth a try.
Crap...I bought a new Jeep farkle...

Already took it camping! It was awesome and comfy. The best part was it got down to 32 degrees the first night (damn California winters) and I heated the entire set up to 67 degrees with my MrBuddy. We got our camp chairs and hung out in the annex and drank beer. It was great!

I was thinking, does anyone trailer their KLX's or other bikes often? Any ideas for camping storage on a 4x8 flatbed trailer? I was thinking about making a rack over the bikes to fit my tent then adding some storage for camping crap, fire wood and so on. Then I could use the trailer as my hook up and go base camp when I go up in the Sierras or Nevada desert. My only gripe is not heavily modding the trailer because I use it to move crap once in a while because I don't have a pick up truck and space in my Jeep sucks.
Is that a GordiGear tent?
I've wanted a roof top set-up like that for quite a while.
As to the trailer, my buddy built a front to the trailer that the bikes tuck under, it has a shelf above for gear or whatever. When going riding we put fuel cans strapped in under the shelf between the wheels. Behind and between we tuck whatever we can in and on the trailer. We also mount a cooler on the tongue. We try and keep the trailer neutrally loaded and the weight down low. We've used his trailer to haul everything from bikes to firewood to cinderblock so it needs to be easily stripped down to it's basic form. So we use removable chocks for the front wheel, works great. The front shelf always stays on, it's too handy. The shelf/bin is a few inches over the front fender and is big enough to put your standard gas can down into. It swallows all our gear and unless we were racing across the desert stays put with no straps.
If I had an enclosed trailer, it would be set-up to keep most everything off the floor. But I don't...I use a moto-tote for now.

Ahh Gordigear, those are nice, mine is a Tepui from Santa Cruz CA. Out of all the "Chinese renamed" tents I feel this is one of the better brands. I'm going to write a review on expedition portal in a week or so, I'll post a link on here so if your interested in lots of photos and all that crap you can check it out.
Is there a North American importer for GordiGear? Those were high on my list also.
Thats kind of where I'm at with the trailer, it needs to be easily stripped down to haul just about anything. One issue I have is I never know how many bikes I'm hauling so its hard to plan where to store stuff, on the sides or in-between. Plus planning where to put tie downs or how to make storage is difficult. I've hauled 3 bikes but ideally 1-2 with some gear is best. I was thinking of getting a big aluminum lock box like for a truck bed and making different mounting points for it. Then I could put it between two bikes or put the bike on one side and my junk on the other.

I don't know about a US importer for GordiGear... I liked them on Facebook and get a crazy video every now and then on my feed.
A trailer of my own would make life easier, but I like the independence of one vehicle carrying another w/o the extra axle for some of the places I go.
Your rig looks like it could easily carry a bike off the back and add a hitch mount in the front for a cargo rack, for the go anywhere basecamp.
I like the rig. What engine do you have?

Yeah it might carry the bike ok. Probably a little heavy but it would do it. I usually don't mind taking my trailer places because if I do trailer I'm probably going to ride to all the good spots so the trailer doesn't matter. If I have no trailer then I'm probably going to wheel to all the good spots. My Jeep just has the 4.0 inline 6 with a manual tranny. Nothing crazy but it works fine for what I need. I can load the crap out of my junk plus tow 3 bikes and its alright, even with the bigger tires and lift. I've been every where with the Jeep and I've wheeled some crazy stuff, I got tired of the expense so I got the Kawi to get me out in boonies and I've never looked back. The Kawi is great cheap fun! I love it!
