Ok, I should have added one thing, I haven't "miced" anything yet...I suppose the piston or piston skirt COULD be an issue but I highly doubt it judging by how everything looks. I'll bring home the proper tools this week and see.

 

Hey boys and girls, long time no see. Well, I decided to slap the Kawi back together after letting it sit for ever. I decided to buy a 331 and see what happens. I highly doubt it'll cure the noise I've been hearing but if it's an issue maybe something will break sooner, LoL.

I've already installed the Bill Blue kit and I'm almost ready to fire this thing. I was going to pull the carb to clean it and re jet the thing. My 250 ran gear per my signature, anyone have a solid tune for sea level, with a lid but no snorkle, stock header with a Q4 (mine has the quiet core also).
