Fixed. The rejetted bike will have a higher top speed.

But what about the guy that has a rejetted bike AND lower gearing?

Oh, and Anthony.. More power to ya.. Best to study black magic cause a 24hp fully uncorked KLX is gonna run off and hide from your 18-19 hp (maybe as much as 20) weezer and will need a "hex" put on it before you race it..

snowdrifter, yes jetted AND regeared is going to be the fastest, absolutely. I was only comparing a jetted bike with stock gearing against a regeared bike with stock jetting.

Let's get back to the original post. I spent 20 minutes and $10 and gained noticeable more grunt. I could spend much more time and money and gain even more grunt, I understand this clearly. In fact, I'm not even knocking doing more; God knows I have with many of my other toys, both carb and FI, in fact. I was merely saying an easy mod that makes a difference. Does the gained grunt compare with rejetting, yes. Does it compare with a regearing AND rejecting, no.

Seriously! MotoGP bikes are approx 250hp, 400lbs with tons of electronics. I'm not sure what Jabara is referring to, but damn, that is a nasty fast bike he has there.
The fastest bike I've ever ridden is a Honda RC51, it was absolutely insane! I can't imagine how badass jabara's must be.

I dunno where you've been the last 20 years. How about like...ANY 750/1000 sportbike......~150hp or more and sub 400lbs.... so like I dunno, multiple thousands of bikes out there..... so exotic right? hahaha.

I'm not the one going on about his $10 sprocket swap that has changed his KLX into perfection (since no more mods are needed per you) ...that thing must rip now man.... hahaha, thanks for the laugh

I dunno why I even bother with this guy, enjoy the 19hp -1 sprocket monster you have there. -1 sprocket is all you need guys, no need to mod any more. Exiting this exciting thread....

Damn, you are so defensive and disagreeable. The sky is blue. "No, it isn't!"

Going back two decades is a bit much, are 750 sport bikes even still built? 20 years ago they were, granted. But not sub 400lbs. I thought everything was 600 and 1000 for the most part these days.
Admittedly, I don't ride sport bikes any longer. I know many bikes have the hp you mentioned, but under 400lbs? I had't realized any bikes were that light. I did a very quick Google search for recent models, and only found one. Aprilla, but its not a 750cc. It is interesting though, you don't mention your exact model.

For the record, I just happen to have a 750 at home, not a sport bike, and it weighs about 400lbs. But only about 50hp! 2010 Moto Guzzi V7cc.

No, it's still a dog, no where near perfect, nor ever will be. It's just a cheap KLX250. Not a race bike, not even a real dirt bike. Spend the time and money you suggest. And, it's just a KLX250. Not a race bike, not even a real dirt bike.
