Finally installed the AHL Tong Tong 299 piston and cylinder. Quality looks great, gaskets and everything fit perfectly. Fired right up! One caveat, install the coolant fitting on the front before installing the cylinder, that was a bxtch to get on with it mounted in the frame. Put in the Mikuni pumper but throttle cable is not long enough. Pulled it out and put the keihin cvk back in until I get a longer cable. Good anyway as now I can compare just cc increase and later the pumper. Bye!

Don't look now, someone stole your seat, radiator shroud and side cover!

Hehe, darn kids! No use in putting them on until I knew it would fire up. Ricochet skid plate is off until I have it dialed. That skid plate is a screw/parts magnet! Have since gone on a nice long ride with my brother. Surprised at how well it runs with same jetting. No surprises, 20% increase in displacement and seat of the pants feels about 20% stronger. Stronger off the bottom for sure. Getting a little decel popping but not gonna correct as my new 4" longer Terry Cable throttle cable is here so I will work on getting the TM 36-68 installed and jetted in the ball park (I hope). Oh, I used all parts, gaskets etc. that came with the AHL Tong Tong 299 kit, all worked great! The wrist pin circlips were great compared to stock as they have a curly cue shape that lets you grab and install them with needle nose pliers, way easier than stock.

I did the same thing with the coolant fitting...what a pain.

Nice report on the Tong Tong, and I like the green silencer.

I don't know, IDRIDR...I just can't see myself saying..."hey, want to come out to the shop and see my Tong Tong?" Might result in charges being filed depending on the age of the other party.

Seeing it and riding it...two different things!

So glad that is clarified, I'm sure TNC will want to know that for future reference, should someone ask.
