Well I ordered my BB 351 kit today from Bill and plan on getting the TM36 carb. Based on an elevation of 1500' and the following mods, 200 snorkle, performance air filter, backfire screen removed and running the 300 headpipe and muffler with a performance tip installed what pilot, jet and needle jet should I be getting from Dynojet? How do you order based on application and do any of the dynojet parts from the Keihin carb work?

Thanks

Ahh... Nope.. DJ KLX kits are for the stock CVK. Your only guide for setting up the TM is with our jetting DOC. Using setups that members have found to work well for a given 351 configuration - no dyno testing/AFR charts are available to verify fueling curves but your bike will run perfectly fine..

Fantastic!!! Before installing read over the how to's here, they are FULL of helpful stuff... Take your time and it's a fairly easy job... I can't remember any real hiccups, except getting the timing right, which took me 2 times

I got the jets from

Mikuni TM36 Flat Slide 36mm Pumper Carburetor - Accelerator Pump

All in stock and quick shipping....plus they didn't have any bull**** "extra"charges because I was using a Canadian PayPal/credit card...JetRUS told me I was a higher risk for fraud because I wasn't in the US so they jacked the prices... So I went to Niche

Perfect, I'm lucky in that I have a US shipping address. Dash8, what did you end up using for jets? Your about the same elevation and I thought your mods were close to mine.

Lol! I shamelessly stole my setup from the guys here... I use a US address also but Jetsrus still wanted to charge me stupid fees because I was an "unsafe" customer (using a PayPal account that has been business verified since 2001).

Soooo ****'em lol... I went with Niche.

Well the 351 BB is on it's way and I ordered the TM36-68 with the 17.5 pilot and P4 needle which will give me the same carb as Dash8. Grand total was just under $1,400 Canadian I wonder how much I can smuggle across the border?

Forgot to mention I do get back $232 Canadian for the 250 cylinder.

Bill put on my bill it was a warranty repair so I got the kit across with no problem..

They didn't even question my "used" carb... I think I got the whole thing across with no taxes or duties..

I just took her out tonight for the first time in a few months. INSTANT smiles... You'd NEVER ever believe it was a 250 in a previous life... I pulled up to my buddies motorcycle shop and the first thing he said was...."that sounds like she's pulling serious horsepower!"

Seriously, it's the *****....

Thanks for the tip. I'll get Bill to email me a reciept for a warranty repair. That will save me a few bucks. Customs didn't ask you for the original reciept of the purchase? That's the on thing that would worry me.
