Default battery problems

Today i went for a long ride, came home for awhile went to go start the bike and the battery was almost dead. i didn't leave the light on so don't no why. I was thinking maybe the dealer didn't charge it all the way, but anyway i have a 12v lead acid battery charger so i started charging it. i also have a battery tester that reads out the volts and amps. the battery is 12v 6 amps. i noticed it was getting upto 9 amps so i put it back on the bike started it a few times and it wasn't holding it went back down to 4 amps, it started to die again. so i put it back on charge and checked it a little while ago and it was almost up to 12 amps. so i took it of because i wasn't sure if i was going to cause any harm. any body have any ideas? do you think maybe the dealer didn't fill it properly/charge it long enough. do you think something may be causing it to drain right out, ect. should i leave it charging with the amps getting so high?

Yup, sounds like the battery has just gone bad. It's possible that the dealer didn't fully charge it or it was stored in old place without a trickle charger. At least these little batteries look pretty cheap and easy to remove compared to a sportbike.

another thing i forgot to mention is that i jump started it with a battery jumper without the bikes battery connected. started it and once removed it kills the bike. I no with my last bike it would stay running. any thoughts?
