hahah.....

No neither were backfires, well with the KTM we dont really know how it started... but it was bad, very bad. Scary few minutes.

The well done KLX was someone on here, something about working on it and it caught on fire..

That "while working on the bike" scenario is pretty common with cars too. I've seen more engine fires with a loose fuel line, flooding carb, bad FI regulator, timing way off, etc. Engines like our KLX have little/no ability to really screw up the ignition timing which is frequently the cause of a nice fire...or singed eyebrows.

Wow!...on that KTM fire, that's a lot of fuel on the ground in that situation

Haha! Reminds me of the old joke:
Q) Why do Brits drink warm beer?
A) Because their fridges are made by Lucas!

HarHarHar!

LOL!...ah, the good ol' days. Nothing like a leaky carb that never worked well, spilling fuel onto a bike that has a wildly unpredictable electrical system. Hmmm...you got gas...you got sparks...now that's entertainment.

Electrical by Lucas, Prince Of Darkness. Those were the days my friend, we thought they'd never end.
