This applies to all the Aussies on this forum.

I bought my helmet off ebay a while ago and i have only just realised that it has no Australian standards sticker. It is DOT and SNELL approved, but there is no aussie standards sticker.

Do the cops check for this? Will i get a fine, if so how much? And will i loose any demerit points for this?

Had my 661 Flight for over a year now. Got it on the net from the UK ($200 less than here.) It's EU gold standard for racing but doesn't have the AUS standard mark. The funny thing is the exact same helmet is available in AUS. Got it from the UK cause of the $200 saving. Never had an issue, been stopped by the filth one, checked my rego, but never mentioned the lid.

 

Good to hear, hopefully they don't check mine as well. But i will do my best to avoid them, as always.

 

You would be dead unlucky having them check your lid for compliance, unless you give them reason too

 

You would had to really **** the guy off for him to get you for that.
Lots of guys do custom paint jobs and I have never heard of anyone being pinged for no compliance sticker.
