Anyone Want Some KLX Stuff?
Just got back from the bank and interest rates are low
Since all of Northern NY has banned atv's and has closed all atv trails all I can ride offroad are truck trails which are more or less maintained dirt roads. We rode a few miles of it after the rain 2 up on the KLX with street tires, a Vstrom would have no problem with these "trails" and can get us farther in more comfort. I originally wanted the Vstrom but thought it was too big for my first bike.
Anywho I see the stack up of posts on here compared to the PM's and it doesn't match in chronological order. I will compare times but it comes down to whoever said "I'll take it" first gets it.
I'm going back to the dealer tonight with pics of the KLX to see how he wants it setup and I'll update the list accordingly and get in touch with everyone who was interested.

As you can see the KLX seat is just a tad too short for 2 5'7" adults.
Deej, I haven't been online because the site keeps crashing whenever I try to get on, keeps giving me a funky error regardless of what pc I'm on.
And yes, so the 2 of us can go riding...

We went hiking a few weeks ago and took the KLX to get there, 7 miles of hiking plus 60 miles 2 up on the KLX and we were BEAT!

It's the WeeStrom 650, in the "faster" color....see below

To all:
I will have a complete list and update it as I go when swapping parts. If you've pm-ed me (and it was received first) you get first shot at the items as priced below. Please no bidding, if someone called it, that's it.
The wheelset: It's actually the 250 OEM set with Cheng Shin Barracuda street tires mounted up with heavy duty tubes. Includes sprocket and brake rotors, wheel bearings seem to be in good shape, all spin well as I'm still riding on them. The dealer wants the offroad tires and no way in hell am I swapping tires around again so he gets the older 300 wheels.
Price: $500 shipped in the continental US (Still less than 2 hubs from Kawi)
Folding mirrors: They are from Baja Designs, paid like $15-$20 each.
Price: $25 shipped
Tusk Bars: They are a KX bend, can't remember if its high or low, they have some scratches on them. Only $20 new.
$15 shipped
MX fender with BD taillight: Just mounted this winter, holes drilled for the rack to mount, and light is mounted, also includes taillight frame. Was $120 new
Price: $75 shipped
KDX snorkel: Don't remember what I paid for it
$12 shipped
Kawi Supplemental Manual: $30 new
$20 shipped
Kawi Base Manual (AKA KLX250R manual): $54 new
$35 shipped
I'm going to check my pm's and get back to everyone in the order that they wrote to me. As of right now I think everything has at least a question on price shipping etc so that's what I'll be doing. If you see a price you don't agree with, we can haggle some but don't lowball me.

Sorry to see the KLX go, JT. What's worse is that you defected to a ZUK!
J/k,
the Weestrom is a pretty tight machine. My personal choice would have been a Versys, but some people understandibly can't get used to the looks. Whatfeatures madeyou go with theWeestrom?

Marc i think you were first, I counted your reply as the time that you threw in your hat...I thought I replied last night but maybe I missed it.
There are no Kawi dealers nearby aside from where I got the KLX and they socked me with $700 in additional fees like freight, setup, and some other garbage. The Suzuki dealer chargers sticker price, which is below MSRP plus tax, no hidden fees that don't show up until you sign the agreement. In the end its my KLX in stock form aside from the MX fender and KLX300 exhaust (oem fender goes to lcpl if he still wants it) +$3852 and I ride out the door with a 0.0 mile 2006 Wee.
