Anyone Want Some KLX Stuff?

Anyone Want Some KLX Stuff?
Going to go talk to the bank today on trading in my KLX on a leftover 2006 V-Strom. The dealer said the bike would be worth more to him all stock so I'll have some stuff to get rid of.
Namely:
Complete wheelset with a set of nearly new Michelin AC-10's, new wheelbearings installed never been run. They came off the 300 dirtbike and the front wheel has a 1/16" dip in it. The rear I haven't finished trueing yet but it shouldn't be too bad.
Folding mirrors
Tusk aluminum bars
MX fender with Baja Designs LED taillight (depending if the dealer likes how it looks or not)
Full stock KLX 300 exhaust
Misc jets
KDX snorkel
Both service manuals
Any other stuff I can think of....

The dealer said that the bike would be worth more stock? What is he on pot? Dude, he could get more for the bike with mods on it, I think he's just yanking your chain bro. Sorry to see the bike go, what happened Josh? And how come you haven't been on line lately. Hmmmmm could the V-Strom be so you can ride 2 up with a certain someone?

No, you are incorrect there Deej. To a dealer, selling it stock ensures him he doesn't have to deal with any warranty and or liability claims for aftermarket crap. Also, a lot of buyers have no idea who and or how aftermarket stuff is put on, but trust OEM, stock bikes sell way better over farkled bikes.
While a farkled bike may be worth more in investment dollars, you are limiting your buying public to those who A) want a bike farkled exactly as you have, up to the type, brand and installation of those farkles and B) You are assuming you can get a premium for thos add ons, which you almost next do.
So, to a dealer, OEM is way easier to sell, safer to sell and makes the make far more appealing.
