Default Anyone using this new Ignitor box?

Wondering if any of these are in use by list members.

KLX CDI module

In particular wondering if the additional advance can really be felt at higher RPMS.

If you are running one what else has been done to your engine?

I'd be interested in trying out the Aussie setting.
I think I'd carry my stock CDI for awhile, $189 CDN seems too inexpensive, but what do I know.
I'd be curious about how it works on the big bore when switching between US and Australian timings. Big bore is my next step...finally. Then pumper...then maybe try the CDI. Hopefully someone else will have been the guinea pig by then.

I'd buy it if the cdi was sub $110

I'm sure the vendor would raise the price if that would make you feel better.

If I recall correctly, someone on this forum was developing a adjustable cdi and during the development process he found that there wasn't any change in power with the increased timing. The only advantage I can see using this box is a huge discount($180) versus the oe unit($350).

You are right GBAUTO, the dyno test of the CDI and it's various ignition advance options proved that it added no hp. The test was quite an upset to the member that developed it.
All this can be found by searching the forum.

But did it create a more efficient burn thus increasing fuel mileage? That might be an important factor as to why even as a 250 it gets as low as 48mpg when it shouldn't drop below 60?

The change in timing might also move the power curve.

The results proved to be disappointing. I was looking to find more mid range thru the added timing the cdi. The big bore kit wasn't a disappointment.
