studs and ice are good - just about the roads with ice. guy slid on ice here the other day and got run over by a box truck.

 

One down (120 actually) and one (130) to go....

 

And both tires are done. I changed my mind on the front, ended up skipping 2 rows between each row of screws. I figured that if I do hit pavement that I'd want more rubber touching up front, its one thing to have the rear tire get loose and a whole different story if the front washes out.

 

Looks great, when do you get to try them out?

 

I'll have my spokes on the 27th so whenever I get my wheels straightened out after then.......or I could pull the street slicks off my good wheels and try em out. With 18" of snow on the ground I don't think I'll be getting very far though.

 

Change those tires slacker...lol......lets see some snow riding now!!! What ya can't change two tires in an hour. It's almost 80 down here in FL ..... I wanna see some snow riding. It's hot.

 

It'll take more than an hour, there's some prep time involved. It's 18 degrees out so I'd have to bring the tires/wheels in to warm up so I can pry them off the wheels, probably sitting overnight by the furnace duct would do it.

 

I finally finished mine. Took just under 2 hours to do each tire with about 200 1/4"x1" 1/4 tapcon concrete screws. The tires are some cheap Cheng Shin 755, as you can see, these are for ice/snow only...no road riding lol.

 

Looks great. although tapcon screws are pretty brittle.
