Default Anyone have a picture of the portion of the frame they removed for the edge/maier ?

I've got an 06 and they are a little different than the 09s. I searched but only found pics for 09s and newer that have the edge set up with the maier rear fender. There is a little bit of a visible portion of the bikes frame that sticks out with the maier fender on the bike and I want to cut it off. I would like to see a picture of what some of you guys did that have 06/07s that have the maier fender with the edge tail light. Thanks.

Thanks for the help. This is exactly what I needed and was looking for. I'm going to post the link here for anyone that ever does the same search that I do and they can find it here:

Thanks for posting the link jhoffy22. That fender looks badass. I would love to have that on my bike but I'm not very good with fabrication. I'm an industrial maint. mechanic, but primary electrican/mechanical. Any type of welding is out of my league.

JB weld on a frame is sub ghetto. Do it right or don't be surprised by the results of doing things half assed.

While on the subject of fabrication...I'm trying to fabricate some kind of bracket for my Trailtech Vapor speedo that will fit between my new trailtech x2 light. Any ideas of something that would bend easily yet be stirdy enough?

instead of cutting and weilding the frame you can just insert a long screw driver into the end of one side and use a breaker bar to slowly bend the subframe upwards straighting it it out.

This is what I did and havent had any troubles yet.

You still have to chop a couple of cross members though

Thanks, I'll give this a try. I have to figure out which cross members I'm going to mount my edge tail light to.
