I have not had a dirt bike in 20yrs. I remember the 2 stroke power was crazy and the front end of the bike was always trying to come up. I don't really feel that with this new 4 stroke engine. I think it will get much better though, Ijust have to do like you guysand do the mods. To me that is part of the fun anyway. I have not heard much about after market cams, that used to be a standard mod item for 4 sroke engines.

Yes ..I'm getting older (48)! I hope this dirt bike and my 11 yr old son will help me stay active and fit. Yep I got the KLX its a dirtbike with turn signals! I just thought some of the "dual sport" bikes were to clumsy, heavy, slow and ugly. No offense if anyone owns one, I just wanted something more nimble and sporty-motocrossy...Wow thats a cool word!! I'm gonna gut that big ole muffler any suggestions?

No two bikes will run the same even with the same gear. In light of this you SHOULD go and buy yourself a T- Handle fuel screw (kouba screw) It will save you dicking around with pilot jet issues - and makes getting the 'perfect' tune alot easier.
