Default Any differences between 2006 and 2007?

I've been interested in changing out my 2012 KLX250 for a 2006 due to the extra suspension travel on the 2006. I've found a 2007 KLX250 that's for sale. Almost everything I've read is that the 2006 and 2007 are identical but I also remember reading something about Kawasaki starting to reduce the suspension in 2007? Anyone know if that's true?

Thanks!

I've not heard of a thing being different between the '06 and '07 models. You could check part numbers on-line. Get the '07 and be happy.

Default Same I thinks

I hunted specifically for an '07, simply because they were better suited for off-road from the factory, than the later models. IMHO

I found an '07 in July with just under 600 miles on it, never been in the dirt, so I snatched it up. It's my belief the 2006 and 2007 have identical specs. If your over 200#, plan on getting heavier springs though. The fork springs feel like they are out of a KX60! But all the KLX's are like that from what I hear/read.

Default Cosmetics

The 06 has a green and white headlight shroud. The 07's shroud is all white.

I think the seat might have a slight cosmetic difference too.

I'm sure you already knew this, but just for the record.....

Ditto on the springs. Heavier springs transformed my 06 into a much better handling bike. I'm almost 220 and the springs that worked for me were 0.44kg/mm in front and 6.0kg/mm on the rear shock.

I ordered .48 and 6.4 for mine. But I have 40# on you. Seats are same part# for `06-07. A complete seat is a spendy bugger, yikes! Leave the OEM turn signals on to protect that golden seat in a get off!
