Default Any Difference 2007 and 2009 KLX

Whether it is buying air filters or foot pegs many of the application lists only go up to 2007 - is the engine or frame any different for 2007 until 2009. The most I see different on the 2009 is the instrument cluster and cosmetics??

I won't go through and list all the changes, but let's just say that the only things the old bike has that the new '09 kept are the frame and engine. everything else was changed. from swingarm, forks, wheels/spokes, and radiators to the lights, seat, suspension linkage and larger rear brakes. it was a significant redo on the bike.

yeah the carbs the same but I think the idle adjustment has moved and the throttle sensor was eliminated or some crap..but its the same.

Theres several ways to look at this.

1. Appearance: Using this method you can say the 09 was a massive change.

2. Number of parts changed: Just look at this method you could say there was a faily moderate to signifigant change.

3. Number of parts changed vs. Parts on the Machine: When comparing by this method I'm sure youll find its fairly light.

what the hell does #3 mean? doesn't the machine in point #2 have a machine the parts go on? you don't have an '09. I do, and I've had an '06. the two bikes sans the engine, carb, and frame are totally different motorcycles, with the '09 carb being updated as well with different settings and the elimination of the throttle positioning sensor, or what you call "some crap".

the '09 got larger radiators, different swingarm and linkage, different forks, larger tank, thicker spokes, flatter handlebars, larger rear brake and improved front rotor and brake line routing, improved valving on both ends of suspension, improved hand controls, better functioning and looking lighting, better tires, improvements in the tranny that the old model desperately needed. the list is long and to try and underestimate or diminish the changes/parts on the bike is naive and absurd.
