Default Another mod

Hey Guys, it has become apparent that either I am not doing something right or I am doing something wrong, either way I think its time to let someone else take a shot at being the mod for the KLX section. PM me with names either of someone you think would be a good mod, also self nominations are also welcomed. Lets hear what you got. Remember PM's only we are not going to make this a discussion here. Thanks guys.[sm=smiley20.gif]

You're doing a fine job, don't let some troll drive you away. Things were working well when you guys were deleting negative off-topic posts.

When I saw the thread title, I thought you meant mod as in modification, lol.

I haven't been around too much lately so I don't know what is exactly happening but I can't possibly imagine why Deej would not be doing a great job.....

He's doing a fantastic job! Even though Deej doesn't want us to respond to this post, I really think we should. Raise your hands if you agree that none of us could replace him.

You're a softie, that's all.

Can mods on this forum IP ban? If so, then I reccomend you learn how to do it.

You're not using the lock feature enough either. Way too many topics continue after an argument breaks out. On almost every single other forum I post on, once the topic deviates from debate into fight, it's immediately locked.

I agree that the lock feature is sometimes necessary. About a year and a half ago, there was a thread that turned ugly when some tool(I don't remember his screename but he has not posted here in a long time) who went wacko because someone made a joke about Harleys and he proceeded to tell people F U this and F U that. Then he called out Marty(a great memeber that used to post here) and put words in his mouth by altering what he said to make him look real bad. I called out this tool for what he is and exposed him for the fraudulent misquoting of Marty. The mods came and deleted half the thread including the incriminating posts by this tool. I thought the thread should have been left intact and locked, and the tool banned.

Yeah, deleting posts is just stupid. Locking threads is much more effective.

When you delete a thread, nobody knows wtf happened, and it'll end up just happening again.

When you lock a thread, you manage to say "Hey, this is what happened in this thread, and if it happens again, imma ****ing rape you bitch". You display the incident and the punishment, and effectively create both stance and empowerment.

Exactly. In this case only the incriminating posts by this tool and the posts that I made exposing him got deleted. It should have been left intact and the tool banned so other members could see what happened and how the mods were more than justified in banning the tool.

deej is doing fine. Mods have to follow the rules just like everyone else. Sometimes taking baby steps getting the ball rolling is what it takes before a lock down or ban is made.
