I was driving along the Highway just north of town and saw a car in front of me lock up his brakes and turn left very late. He drove up over the centre island in the middle of the street, still locked up and then got it under control and finish his left turn. All very dramatic. As I got closer I saw a motorcycle ride out of the street and onto the highway slowly. Because I was going at highway speed I moved over and went around the bike and as I did I relised the bike probably had moved onto the highway to avoid being smashed by the idiot in the car.
Because my focus was on the car I didn't even see the bike until he moved out in front of me (I had been some distance from the left turn when the car locked up). Going further up the road I became more and more convinced I had almost witnessed a very bad smash perhaps a fatality
