Default Positive cable routing

I'd say your positive cable routing is correct. Your having got me looking closely at it makes me think I should put some more clading on that cable or the frame. It appears that it may be chaffing just a little.

Default Another view

Like yours the positive cable goes back toward the coolant surge tank, then under the frame and forward to the junction block.

ol'klx-er, mine looks like yours EXCEPT mine (positive cable) re-enters the underseat area with that pack of wires that are cable-tied to the green fender. Thanks again for taking the time to photograph and post in order to help me out.

I think I will leave mine alone, but keep an eye on it to see if it chafes with more miles.
