Now I know I'm old- My 1974 honda had been upgraded to fox lay down air shocks in the rear and the front forks had a air valve kit- in the old days every one did air in there forks as a way to adjust for track conditions. It also provided a progressive spring rate.
ps your old too if you know what "lay down shocks" are!

My 1983 XL600 has air valves in the front forks, but I don't use them. After talking to MotoPro about them I just had them resprung.
