What's an aftermarket air filter for and what brands do you have? Any advantages?

 

The idea of aftermarket filters is to let more air in while keeping moredirt out. There are a few filters out there for this bike, most people here seem to be running some type of foam element like a UNI or TWIN AIR, while others like the K&N element. It all depends on what you like andhow much off road you think you'll be doing. I've been loyal to UNI since i was younger, they've always pleased me so thats what i buy.

Some people here don't like the K&N because they think it lets in more dirt. I dunno, theymay be fine with an outwear ($10). K&N's are also about twice as much $ as a foam filter.

any filter that fits the klx300 will work on our bike....
