Default After 45 days.......

Well i finally got my bike back yesterday, after 45 days...... I asked the service manager why they dont stock vavle shims he said there is too many to have to keep in stock..... wtf ever..... New head, intake valves, tappets, cam chain tensioner, spark plug, oil.....Runs good. Brought it to work today. Its still not as quiet as everyone elses bike. I dont care right now, i dont know what else it could be. What ever im just happy to have it back.

Wow! a month and a half!

Well I'm glad to here you finally got the bike back.

I wonder if your problem might be with the wrist pin or something in the bottom end.

na its on the top end.... who knows, it doesnt matter until the warranty runs out..... o and the mechanic is gonna tell kawi that i dropped it off like 3 days before the original warranty expired, he says that kawi gets weird about claims with in the first 60 days of the extended warranty, so he is gonna put it under the original.

Mine has a little clatter in the top end but I'm almost positive its the valves. When I adjusted them it was between 2 shim sizes, one made it on the tight end of the clearance spec, the other made it on the loose side, so I went with the loose one. Its only noticeable at certain rpms, or it could be the auto decomp getting loose, I've got 4200 miles on it.
