Ale that rear fender mod looks awesome, you did a great job on that. The green sidecovers are pretty too, can you take a pic of the left side?

Here is the only other pic I took MaverickAus, Sorry, my little bro took my camera to the beach to "take pics of the honeys" as he put it. So I'll get some more soon. Yeah the big gun IS loud, but the bike screams like a banshee so I don't complain. Plus, I kind of like the sound. Hey deej, I know how you feel man, everytime I ride I have to scrub my bike clean before I put it up. I like to ride at Brown Mtn., I'm going there next weekend with my buddy and his CRF230. I'll be smokin' him around the trails now I think. I'm putting on some Dunlop 952's today, so it'll be ready to rip up the carolina clay.

Okay, I'm finally going to try this. I am so excited as I just mounted my new front tire, it is a Michelin AC10. I had to take my stickers off my shrouds because my knee guards tore them all up. The rear tire is a Trakmaster II. Also note the KLX300 exhaust. So excited heh heh. [sm=wootwoot.gif][sm=shades.gif]

Nope, he probably got the same color green bike as someone sent to Acerbis to make the color of their tank! [sm=outcold.gif]

It must be the camera, I took the pictures in full sun. My bike is true Kawi Green. By the way, my rear tire has over 1200 miles on it. I am very impressed with that, because I didn't think it was going to last a 1000 miles.

Yea I have 1700 miles on my stock Dunlop 603, but it's getting close to needing a change. Hey can someone convince me that I should change the tire asap? I mean a story or statistics about flats on the last 25% of a tires life? I have a new 606 and a full set of Kenda 270's in my shop at work, but I just seem either too lazy or too cheap not to try and get the most out of my tire. LOL

I just don't know if I can bear to get rid of the tire yet......ok I know that was scraping, but I'm really bored today

Deej,

IMO it's like changing oil before it's time. I changed my tires with 30-35% left, and a friend of mine came over and said "what are you doing, you've got plenty of rubber left". It's what makes you confortable. You can get every penny out of your oil, filter, brakes, tires, but in the long run some of these may extend the life of your bike and maybe even you.

Here's a few pics of my new skid plate... My friend helped me to fab it up from 3/16 aluminum.
(btw - first post on Kawi forums! Hi!)

I think it turned out great. I'm really happy with it. I also like the fact that it keeps my feet dry when blasting through puddles. Oh, and I guess it does a pretty good job of protecting the engine too... Despite the rugged looks, it's actually pretty light. I removed the stock "skid-plate" and re-used the rear bolt holes, so I've only gained a pound or two. Definitely worth it, though.

Jason

Okay ale,

I really like the green panels. Tell me more about the mods you had to do to get them to fit. I would like to do it, and do they come in black?

I am trying to get my picture of my bike in large form like everone else so if this dosent work, I might need some help to do it? So here goes.

here is a pic of my bike with some modification to the side panels.
