I got some Maier plastic for xmas, an MX rear fender and a SM front fender. I also painted the factory side panels black and mounted a used pair of UFO fork guards and guides from a KX. Both the front and rear fit with no problems, you have to drill the mounting holes for the SM front fender but that's no big deal. I also cut the rear part of the frame off behind the first cross brace just where it starts to curve down to clean up the look, then I re-installed the factory tailight to the cross brace under the MX fender and fabbed up a new license plate bracket out of some sheet metal. The pictures are not that clear and it looks better in person I think, but I'm really happy with the new look. Oh yeah, I know my rear tire is wore out, I have new Trackmaster waiting to be installed...I almost didn't get off the beach with the worn out stocker lol. Let me know what you guys think. Another thing, these pictures were taking Jan 7/07, I should not not be able to ride in January where I live (NB, Canada)due to intense cold but we're having some crazy mild weather here so it was great to be able to get out for a ride this time of year!

you should keep an eye on ebay for some s-tracker shrouds, or cover the graphics on your current shrouds and paint them.

 

looks good. i think a black headlight assembly and all black seat cover would finish it off nice.

 

That fender is the way to go, and using the stock tail light is great ,we don't give up the LED light ...if you have one.
and that beach looks awesome.

 

who makes that rear fender? or is it from a different model Kawi?

Both front and rear fenders are from Maier, the rear is an MX style for the KLX 300R, bolts right on.
