Acerbis Tail light install
Hey guys i thaught id post some pics of my tail light install. I used a piece of black abs plastic and sanded it down to fit in the recessed part, and used 3-1/4" bolts w/ lock nuts to hold it on... dont want it to vibrate loose. I also mounted turn signals, smoke lenses.

Thanks guys. I still have to put the rack back on, i use it occasionally. I took off the stock turn signal mounting plates, so im gonna grind off the welds and spray some paint on it so it doesnt rust. I couldnt take it any longer i havent been on the bike in like a week so once i got it road legal i had to take it out even though it wasnt done, man you can really make a rooster tail with that black monstrosity off of there, hehe...i love how it looks now. This is now the way kawasaki should have made it!! I absolutley love it, i dont know what im gonna do when winter comes and i cant ride it...[:'(] O well. Thanks for everyones input on everything i have done to it!

Do you happen to have any pics of the side of the bike with the rack removed? Ones where you can see the whole bike. When I find one of those tail lights I am going to install it and I think I want to loose the rack too.

Nice look. Would you post a pic with the rack back on. Is this the part you used:

when i get home ill take a few more pics with and without the rack, i am gonna have to put some washer on the studs right behind the little black bag, the rack rests on the top of the tail light right now. Yes that is the part i used, i got mine off of ebay for $13 brand new! I also got those turn signals off of ebay too, i think for like $17. Always check ebay for stupid stuff like that... i also did cut like and inch off of the bottom of the license plate mounting plastic, i didnt want any plastic hanging down below the plate. Those turn signals tuck under the rack nicely, the rack will actually help protect them. Ill post a few more pics later.

Here's mine, I need to glue the black piece back in, it is coming loose, bit you can't really see it anyway. I trimmed the plate with some tin snips so it wouldn't stick out past the holder, and I also used rivets to hold it on.

Excellent contributions here, thanks...!
Being a firm believer in the Brake! LED flashing brake light product for road use, I am flip-flopping between making this conversion or sticking with the stock light just so I can fit the Brake! product.
I wonder if I could do both...fit a Brake! LED brake light model in the Acerbis housing....
