LOL!...yeah, here's some retro for you. 1977 on a Husky 360 Automatic, Kawasaki leathers (given to me used by a friend), a Bell open face helmet, Full Bore boots, and an old-school Kawi jersey. Note the duct tape on the elbows holding up my elbow guards. And shortly after this pic I had the obligatory Jofa mouth guard. Ahhhhh!...the good ol' days.

Since TNC is waxing nostalgic, I might add to it...

Here I am in the original Bell Star. This was a District 38 desert race back in the day.

Yup. Those were the days.Besides the helmet, protective gear included boots, gloves, leather pants, kidney belt, and a jersey.

i'm using the icon variant...it holds up pretty well slow or fast...sometimes i'll get wicked cross wind on the bridge and it can get unbearable loud and jiggle rapidly at times....now, i know the sweet spot...and, tilt my head down a little as i check my sides...haven't had any problems once i got use to it...just did 85 mph in intense wind today...i didn't spend $360 on it...i paid like $200 at a local shop...they gave me a great deal on it....

Hey Ron...that's a massive style blunder you have committed there...wearing a Bell Star as a dirt helmet. Everyone knows that was a crotch rocket or race car helmet...and you have a very unstylish clear face shield. Now just look at the finely attired dude in this pic next to his fire-breathing crotch rocket from the era and his snug fitting muscle shirt. This is how it's done in the good ol' days...LOL!

Oh man...how things have changed.

LOL YESSSS! OMG, those old Bell Star helmets were like wearing a head-shaped bowl lined with styrofoam! I looked like the "Nose-man" on the Pink Panther wearing one of those!! HA! My nose stuck out the front opening (and I don't have a big nose!)
As for the bike...that is sweet! (Scary as hell at speed, but suh-weet!!)
Looks good; TNC and Ranger!! I like you guys!!

Had to find an image of Mr. "Big Nose" for all the younger guys....

I seem to remember being able to open or close the shield on that thing, about like a welding helmet, depending upon the tilt into the wind. LOL; I haven't had a good laugh like this in a long time....
Thanks, guys!

I had a Bell "stars and stripes" open-face helmet back in the day... Nice...
