Default 6th gear Over Drive

has anyone looked into IF, 6th gear can be changed to a wider ratio of OD?
i like the spacing pretty well and thought that 6th gear can be made a little taller for road use.
Has anyone with a 351 put the SM rear sprocket on an S model?
Right now i am running stock rear and 15 front, and would like to get some more top end. 1st gear is still super low and will crawl through the trails so i might just do that first.
BTW, i have no problems with the power on the top end to run a higher gear,
I think,,,,,,,

Probably way cheaper and easier to just change the rear sprocket/chain than to mess with the tranny.

Will a 16t c/s sprocket fit?

bb kit definitely makes it run out of gears fast, but still running stock gearing.

a 15 tooth front will probably give you what you need. If you're really keen, you could look into fitting a 6th tranny cog from the 07 and earlier models, it has a taller 6th.

15 tooth is pretty tall, but if you want to go higher, i would drop teeth off the rear. 3 rear teeth equals about 1 front tooth. i too would like 6th to be a cruising gear, but i doubt its worth the money/time.
