5000 ft Carb Jetting
I have all the mods installed, Muzzy exhaust, N1TC needle, High flow snorkel, K&N Air filter, removed/capped hoses under tank, 13 tooth counter sprocket, drilled out the crankcase exhaust, and carb mods. Tryed a couple of settings on the carb.
1st try:
120 Main
35 stock pilot
2nd clip from top of needle
2.5 turns on the fuel mixture
Started, idled, and had good power.
2nd Try:
125 Main
40 Pilot
Cir clip 3rd down from top on needle
2 turns on fuel mixture
Didn’t see a noticeable difference in power, the bike did not start right away, and the idle was erratic. I liked the 1st try setting better. Definitely running richer, you can wind up the rpm’s let of and no popping at all.
On my third try:
120 Main
35 stock pilot
3nd clip from top of needle
2.5 turns on the fuel mixture
This is where I'm at right now, bike started, idled, and had good power. I can wind it up to 10K rpms with no popping. Anyone have any other settings that they like at this altitude?
