Looks good. It bulb kind of looks like a 55/60W H4 based halogen (same one we have), so it might though some pretty decent light.

Good call Dean...... it's the same bulb i unplugged it from the stock light and put it right in the new light
so i have hi and lo beam, i just haven't tried it at night yet.
and the hand guards are green , in fact i think there's too much white on the headlight so i might do something about that.

Hopefully the 55w bulb won't burn the housing. The number plate above the light would look great in green. A green vinyl sticker over that area would be perfect. If the ’09 250 light and housing isn’t a direct bolt on I might follow your lead with the 450 front.

looks out of place on the older bike imo. the oem light was nice and bright; looks aren't everything if you can't see where you're going. why not just wait and buy an '09 with the even better looking light stock and the other improved functional components?

The 450R headlight is a 55watt setup but the 450R is not wired with a high/low beam switch. I think it was Eric that posted the link to the guy that DS-ed his 450. All he needed was a hi/lo switch, the stock bulb already was the 55w hi/lo.

If the bikes were side by side 07moded w/o signals & rack vs 09 without the rear rack & sihnals, I think most would be hard pressed to tell the difference.
