Default 351 plus TM36-68 Eee Hhaa!

Today put the carb on my bike. It took about an hour until I had it good enough to fire up. I had to re route the throttle cables but did use both. It started, up ok and I could instantly feel the difference SO I went for a ride NO air cleaner. It was the *****! I could lift the front wheel in second for the first time. about 4 K crank it open. Eee Haa!

I then hooked up the air cleaner and went for some gas. I barely had the throttle cracked open in 3 rd or 4th going 30 mph. Its 24* out and snow everywhere but in the road.

It runs plenty rich, I stuck my finger in the tailpipe and it came out black. I already ordered what I think are proper jets most of it I found here.

I have ridden an RM250 Its not there, but more of what I wanted in a bike. Its a Keeper!

Have you got a pic of how you mounted the push cable? I could never work out a way to mount the bugger on my one..... Mostly because of the tank though.

Yes I will take a pic. I will be taking the carb off when the jets get here.

Just crack the throttle and away it goes. What a difference.

All I need is for the snow to go away (in a couple of months )

I don't think with this carb it matters air box lid on or off. I have the KDX snorkel, but will try t with the lid off.

Not a clue. I do know its pretty much plug and play.

I remember how I installed the return cable. I turned the carb a little. (top to the left) Once the cables were in and adjusted, I turned it back.

I have 4 studded snows on my truck and today I needed them. No testing for a while....

If you could post what jetting you settle on that would be great as well.

Im pretty sure the TM36-68 is a completely aftermarket carb and has never come out stock on any bike.

I think Mikuni makes them as plug and play performance modifications for Harley's..... the manual talks alot about the differences between harley carbs and Mikuni carbs.

What bars do you have?I put KX Hi Bend bars on and have very little play in the cables.
