351 idle rpm
I’m loving my 351 bigbore. The only problem is if I idle it down below 1500 rpms it will stall on quick throttle. I still have my CVK Carburetor. Right now I have a 40 pilot, DJ132, and dj needle on #3 slot. An opened up two brothers exhaust and lidless. I did have K152 jet but it was way too rich!!
Do the 351’s need to be idled higher with a cvk?

You have a fault. A fault that must be fixed. From the information you've provided, and assuming no air leaks in the intake tract, it is likely that your pilot system is partially or wholly inoperative.
A K152 main jet is too small for a lidless 351 + full exhaust + CVK.
You should replace the lid on your airbox while running a DJ132 in order to try to avoid damage from extremely lean fueling.
Once the current issues are fixed and your CVK is functioning properly, you will need a DJ 148 or DJ150 main jet ( K162 or K165 ) and the clip reset to the top most notch on the DJ needle - a better solution would be to reinstall the stock needle with two DJ needle shims under its' "top hat"..
