351 bbk questions

Default 351 bbk questions

i have a klx250sf with all the easy mods. and i am looking in the getting the 351 bbk. i was wondering if any one has ever taken off the air filter box and ran just a cone air filter ? if you have done this could you post a pic so i can see how it looks.

I think a couple guys have done just that to their SF's . You could try it, just don't do anything you can't un-do. These bikes are loud with the air box lid off, but I bet a bunch of that noise is because of the box. It acts like a megaphone. I think it would be loud without the air box, but I don't think it would have that almost honking sound you get with just the lid off. ?????
Like i said , try it , but don't do anything you cant undo if you don't like it.

Pretty sure this guy pulled his box Is that the type of pic you were looking for.

thanks guys i m going to try it when i get the bbk this summer after i get out of jail haha work release is great haha thanks again for the input

Dan - You come up with some of the most interesting pics. This has GOT to be one of the most interesting mod jobs I've yet to see. Where did you find it? Could be tough to ride on the trails? Sweet.

Honestly I don't remember where I got it. I think it's kind of cool, not the way I'd build my dirt bike but cool anyway.
