Default 350 cc big bore for KLX250

Hello all, Bill Blue here B&B Cycle Restoration…
I am wondering how many of you would be interested in a 350 cc big bore kit for the KLX250 I am working on? I’ve already designed and ordered (4) wet sleeves that will be made by Advanced Sleeve. The head gasket will be made out of copper, the base gasket will be the same as the one used on the 331 kit, the gaskets will be made by Cometic. The piston will have the same compression ratio as the 331 piston, 12.5:1; it will be made by JE, the same company that makes the 331 piston. It will have the same static balance as the KLX 300 piston which will stop some of the buzz in the handlebars that a few people don’t like. I hope to have the (4) prototype kits in my shop in the next 4 weeks. I will put a couple months’ testing, as well as dyno testing on the kit before I will offer it for sale. At this time, I don’t know what the price will be. I will keep you posted on the progress of the kit. If any of you are interested in this kit, please contact me at
B_jblue@sbcglobal.net
Thanks
Bill

I'm very interested but want to know about the water jackets. From what I've seen this thing has relatively small water jackets. Does the sleeve encounter into the jacket's territory? Or do you recut those or what?

If you don't respond back I'll just write an email.

At this time I don't know if the bike will heat up it shouldent because the water volume around the sleeve is going to be the same as the stock 250 cylinder. Wont know anything until I have all the parts assembled & running still weighting on the sleeves to arrive. The piston desighn is not finished yet hopefully tomorrow It will finalise the pistons will take 3 to 4 weeks for delivery.

Well I'm the proud owner of one of your 331 kits- about 1000 trouble free miles! I think the 350 would just be more fun.

ps Bill I never sent your core back do you need one?
