250S stock carb needle question

is the 2006 needle adjustable? would it be advisable to put in a shim if it isnt?

Just use some small wahsers. I shim would lean it out, a washer would richen it by lifting the needle. Make sure you have access to the fuel screw though, fine adjustments can be made there.

No they're not adjustable and yes you can shim it. You won't hurt anything by raising the needle a bit.
