Default Shorter Spring

Sorry, I didn't compare the springs, just noticed that the DJ one was a bit shorter. I guess there are 2 ways to get throttle response- drill out for more vacuum, or use a weaker/shorter spring.
I am very happy with the DJ kit. Bike runs good. Using the 124 jet......don't think I need to jet up to 128 unless I change the pipe/muffler. The 1/2" hole doesn't change the dyanamics much..............

Just got my 300 dj kit last night....

Put it in...Drives better but not $70 worth.....

If I had to do it again Id buy Kawi parts...Jet and needle and save your cash for a few tanks of gas...I ran it with the a/b cover off...Too noisy and sounded like I wasnt going anywhere but actually was...Pulled the snorkle with the 132 jet and is nice...But not $70 nice...Coulda ran the 128 but figured Id want to try the 132 with my pipe..So just did the 132 with HMF and quiet core..

ebay has the 300 dj kit for under $50 with shipping; and it's the authentic one.

This guy is an idiot...

He should have drove it around a little and he would say.....Well worth the price....210lb rider can wheelie in second off motor with a good pull.....Goes up to 60mph in 4th in seconds...

Exclamation Spring

Just wanted to go back a little to the DJ 250 kit contents. Since I had (Not installed)the DJ 300 kit, I ordered the DJ spring for the DJ 250 kit and it is just shorter, about 1". So as I indicated in my carb post, I used the spring instead of drilling the slide.

What's the general consensus on this issue? What should a total newbie to jetting get, the 300 kit or the new 09 250 kit?

Or does it not matter, we'll still see the same expected power gains?

Yeah I didnt drill the slide I just used the spring that came with my kit,, the only thing I drilled was the plug hiding the A/F screw and I am totally Impressed with my DJ124 with the snorkle removed,,

even though I find it hard to Wheelie but thats just me.. Im just learning the wheelie process anywayzz
