Well done Yankee99, clutch trick made easy video!

This time last year Kawasaki Phuket had no APi "fixed unit" performance ecu's (3000thb) available without being put on a two week waiting list!! Now on most forums with the clutch trick fully explained, I saw about 30 APi ecu's on the shelf at Kawasaki last week.....lol

Get a Lambda 02 sensor eliminator & this will trick your stock ecu into running at full "richness" because the ecu was designed to adhere to euro3 emission laws in Thailand!! When you put a aftermarket exhaust & a bigger boss175 snorkel on the bike, there will be some deceleration exhaust popping due to running a little lean. The 02 sensor eliminator should make this stop, as the bike will run a tad richer.

1st Buy a decent helmet!

I have the Tsukigi pipe and it sounds great, exactly like the video. I'm in bangkok, I have the KLX though.

I haven't been able to find the plug that Joel mentioned yet so far, if you find it Yankee99 please let me know where.

I have left the airbox alone for until I richen it up. Other than the pipe I have de-restricted at the clutch and I'm giving some serious thought to a 331 kit.

Cheers

Being from the usa its hard to get used to the helmet . I was more concerned about the sandals ;(

Did your pipe come from epap ? I have read for hours on a big bore upgrade. I guess if i went that route i would have to go for the 300 seems easier to get just right....

I picked the bike up a few months old so I didn't take the 'new buy price loss'. It was already on the bike but I believe it was purchased at the same time as buying the bike from KAWASAKI REAL motosports.

I also have been reading a lot! gt rider and rideasia have some great info too. I think the 351 kit is easier if chucking away the eFi and attaching a carb which I don't want to do. The KK331 seems to be better/easier with the eFi bikes.

I haven't given too much thought about the 300 jug, but i'll look into that a bit more. Do you know where you would buy it from here?

I don't think I will bother with a juicebox/power commander until I go down the big bore road, which is why I was interested in the mod Joel posted as I think that would be adequate for just a pipe + air box mod.

I also got lucky as this bike only had 650kilometers 2012 @ 33%discount .

I am not sure but as the300 is a kaw part it may be available at real motorsports. The kk jug looks to be around 27000baht to get here.

I Will call some of the shops tomorrow and see if they understand what i am looking for..(02 eliminatot)

Jeffward made his own using two 330 ohms resistors but if you want to buy one for 20-30 bucks, email EJK Dobeck performance or Power Comander @ Dynojet. The juice box from TBR is made by EJK with a different sticker on the controller & also comes with a 02 eliminator.

Don't be cursing me for not delivering mind blowing performance, it will be a very subtle mix of stronger/smoother power with less deceleration exhaust popping & a slightly cooler running engine, from being a few % richer!!

If your on google searching try Lambda 02 oxygen simulator, which the eliminator is sometimes called.

KK331 cost me 23000thb all in delivered last year. The old argument of wet or dry sleeve lining - Nicasil coated or not etc etc

The Bill Blue is a much cheaper option especially if you send him your old jug to get your core charge back.

@Yankee99 Yep I saw you got it for a very good price over on the Gt-rider forum. Lovely colours too

@JoelThailand Did you get hit with import tax? I have family visiting xmas time so I may hold out until then and get them to carry me over a suitcase full of goodies

And yep not expecting any noticeable power difference, I just want to make sure that I'm not running lean with a pipe / airbox mod.

Cheers
