another apology in advance for my likely ignorance, but I did a quick look around and didn't find any threads on lowering links, steering geometry and possible front end washouts. can anyone point me in the right direction or give me the benefit of their experience? i'd like to lower the seat, but i'm not willing to sacrifice that sticky front tire.

For lowering the bike I went with the $20 1" lowering links on e-bay. They are machined from aluminum and fit better than the OEM links. To keep the geometry somewhat correct I lowered the front 5/8" by sliding the forks up in the triple tree. I rode like that for most of this year but recently went back to the stock height for the added ground clearance in the rocks and mud. To get much out of sliding the forks up you may want to get bar risers so the forks can slide up far enough. I opted for the $20 Tusk brand adjustable bar risers from www.rockymountainatv.com

you've nailed it again. I'm speechless. One thing I'm wondering though, if I'm so needy of friends why are you the one who keeps responding to my posts?[sm=icon_stickpoke.gif]

Gotta have a fuel pump somewhere, probably inside the tank. Depending on how it's done, that might make it difficult for an aftermarket tank.
Yup! No more gravity feed[8D] It will be interesting. I'll have to ask him when he expects them to be in show rooms.

I currently have no bike and basically just use this forum to feed my bi-polar disorder and find friends. what's the harm in that?[sm=smiley20.gif]
