2009 Kickstand shape, air filter oil drain
I'm looking on the kawi site. Their promo pictures show a sort of bent kickstand. Mine is straight. Also they don't have that dinky reservoir hanging down for the oil from the air filter. On the left side of my bike, I have a bunch of gray hoses up in the choke **** area, and some of them hang down pretty far too. It's seriously just empty hose just hanging there. I'll have to get a closeup photo.
What's up with that? Can I just chop off that oil reservoir thing? What are the other hoses?
Also if you look on the Kawi site, in some of the shots it looks like they have some sort of black strap up by the handlebars. It arches over the headlight. What's that?

As for the oil drain bottle thingie... I just snipped the hose off above the bottle, then took the drainplug end of the hose (below the plastic bottle) and plugged it onto the airbox. Just be sure to periodically unplug it and let anything drain out.
The grey hoses can be made into one hose.... don't ask me how, you'll have to seach. Nothing really to be gained from elliminating them so I didn't bother with it.
I noticed my kickstand had the bike standing up too straight as it came from the factory, to the point I worried about the bike tipping over. I just made sure I sat on the bike leaning on the kickstand as a habit occasionaly to kinda bend it down better. Kinda ghetto, I know, but now the bike leans over like it probably should. If you want more of an instantaneous fix you might just bend it yourself.

I looked at my bike today, and that front strap I saw in the photos was probably just alot of slack on the guys brake/clutch line. So much that it was arching up over the speedo/headlight.
Looks like as the shoot went on, they corrected it and you no longer see it.
