2007 Slip On Exhaust Fitment
Hello All,
I have been researching this a lot, but keep finding conflicting answers. If someone would help me be a bit more confident in my research, it would be amazing.
I am looking to get a slip on exhaust for my 2007 KLX250S, ideally a FMF Q4 or Powercore. (noise is not a big issue for me). I'd also like to get a megabomb header down the road, if that impacts anything.
Do the 2nd gen (09+) slip ons fit? What about if I run a full system? (09+ header and exhaust) If it only fails to fit because of the hanger by the muffler, I could fabricate my own bracket rather easily.
What about a 2006 slip on on a 2007? (I have found several online that claim to only fit the 06, this is reflected in FMFs catalog as well) I was under the impression that the 06/07 are identical bikes.
I have heard conflicting reports of KLX300 aftermarket slip ons fitting as well.
Thank you so much for your time, I really want to feel a bit more confident before I pull the trigger.

I bought the 2006 pipe because I found it almost as cheap as the 09 by searching the part number. Others have reportedly used the '09 muffler on their '06 and '07 without issues, but I can't personally attest to it.
