Is there any exact way of knowing if my bike was affected?

Vin number? Any sort of frame marking other than the weld?

I'm no welder, so i'd have not a clue as to whether or not the weld on my bike was/is bad.

 

Thats not good.... rear shock only spot welded in place......

Just took a quick look at mine and there are 2 plates welded to the frame that the shock mounts to. Both of the plates have "weld" down the entire length so, mine is more than just spot welded...

 

Man that's not good, I'm glad I don't have one of those bikes.....you know because I got what doctors call a little bit of a weight problem.



I really miss that guy, why do all the great ones have to go so soon?

 

Not that it affects me but is there an official report on this? Like a government dept or Kawasaki themselves. I did a little googling and found nothing official

 

By now, I'm sure mine would have given out. 40ft long jumps, and a few times bottomed out... I probably would have found them
