I do have one more problem that I just encountered. My head light is not working. Bulb is good. I have no voltage going in to the hi/lo switch. So I followed the schematic backwards, apparently the line comes from the MAIN SWITCH (is that the ignition) and a fuse. I have looked everywhere on this dang bike and can not find a fuse. If I don't find it, I'm just going to wire in a new + line to the switch. Anyone have this bike and know where this mysterious fuse is?

I think it is under the seat. Not sure though, maybe it got lost in the screeding?

It has to be there or @ the battery lead somewhere, I seem to think there was a fuse @ the battery, one of those flat car fuses.

Yah, nothing like that under the seat. They must of fried all that stuff and ripped it out. I think I will just piggy back off the gauge backlight wire.

I wouldn't do that. The headlight takes some amps. You know what the wattage is?
I'll check laters. Going out to dinner now.

Yah, I changed my mind. I found an open plug in the back that I am almost certain is where the wiring for the head light used to be. I checked continuity between it and the power going to the headlight and is was the same line. I applied power to the open jack and the light turned on so I think I am in the right area. So I think it was damaged and the previous owner just disconnected the fuse etc. Also, just noticed the tail light isn't working so its likely this was the common denominator> Just need to figure out how to get power to the two.

If my memory serves me correctly, there are two glass type fuses under the seat in a rubber holder. They are completely cover up by the rubber hloder so you won't see them. If you need pics let me know.
