i did the same thing, but went back to the stock light, That aftermarket setup used to burn out the brake light filament in the bulb constantly. So much that i was worried that i didnt have a brake light for the street.

I was hoping you could chime in and let me know if these Aus spec assemblies already come with three wire sockets and dual filament bulbs from the factory. I believe your bike came stock with the better looking smaller light and functioning brake light, correct?

Also, if anyone else knows a reliable source where I can get one of these I would greatly appreciate a link or something.


Yes the bike came from the factory like thet, brake light and tail light in one (dual filament bulb.) The parts are available here in AUS from the Kawa' dealer, but I recon' the current US KLX300R has the same part, so check that out.

As I recall, it's only two wires too, not three.
