If somebody has a stock 2006 KLX250S and could do me a favor and check a couple things for me I would appreciate it. Is there a number 117 on the rear suspension links from the factory? Also, how much clearance is between the top of the forks and the bottom of the handlebars? I need a baseline for lowering the bike for my wife and seeing we bought it used I don't know if it already has been changed.

Mine is stock and it says 117 on the dogbone. The clearance from the cap to the low part of the bar is about 1/2".

 

Thanks for the info. Now I can start the suspension mods The clearance on the front was only about 1/4" but it may have been from the factory like that or the previous owner changed it.
