My stock steel gas tank is leaking...I've been wanting to upgrade to a larger size anyways.

I'm looking at getting this one.. KLX250S (2006-2008) 2.7 Gallons [11480] - $229.00 : Clarke Manufacturing, Master of Plastic Fuel Tanks Looks to be a direct fit to my 2006 model.

However I was looking for maybe a little more fuel capacity. Does anyone know if IMS makes a tank for the 2006 bikes? I see a lot of options for 3+ gallon tanks but they're all for 09 and up.

Also, if anyone has a fuel tank for sale please let me know, I may be interested.

I us this on my '12 and it has been very durable-it does a good job of protecting the radiators. It's a direct fit for the 06-07 models but will work on the later models if you trim a small bit off of the side plates. Almost doubles the range versus the stock tank.

 

Reminds me a guy on a nearby island said he used a CRF250 replica MX tank on his KLX300. He solved the problem of attaching the shrouds by heating nuts and imbedding them into the plastic tank..

I never saw the bike in person, so I don't know how well the Hondoo tank actually fit

 

I'd like to keep the stock shrouds, so I don't think i'll go with a Acerbis.
