Default 200 Mile Ride Today

I'm determined to get some break in miles on this bike so today the weather was perfect and I headed out about noon time. I headed up into Michaux State Forrest to cruise some of the dirt forrest roads.

Here's a pic of one of the over looks.

I stopped to take a break at Birch Run Resivoir and I met this nice gentleman. Chris had the same idea as myself today on his Honda 230. We compared bikes and had a nice conversation before we departed ways.

After I headed down the road I found what looked like a more challanging road to explore. Being new to the off road bike scene it didn't take me long to realize I had better turn around before I got my self stuck or in situation I didn't want to be in. Here's where I chickened out and turned around.

After I crossed the valley and headed closer to home I stopped to take this pic on the top of the mountain. Unfortunately the pic doesn't do the view justice. This is about 2300 ft.

Seems like the bike did loosen up a bit and it starts easier than it did waayyy back on Tue when I brought it home. Since Tue. I've logged 266 miles.

This week I'm expecting a new skid plate, hand guards and a FMF Q4 Muffler. I'm not the most mechanically inclined so beware.... I might need some internet help.

Thanks for looking,

bootmud

you will need to re-jet the carb if you put on the Q4 to get the benefit.
The bike is lean from the factory and a pipe that breathes easy will make it leaner.

Gary,

I have the carb jet in the works. I have a friend that will be doing the work sometime in the near future. Can you tell me exactly what I need?

Anbody please feel free to chime in.

Thanks,

I used the Dynojet KLX300 Stage 3 kit. the 128 worked wonders where I was at (pretty much at sea level).

Well at least someone is out riding..LOL I can remember the last few years that I would have 5 ride reports on here by now. Its hard to get motivated by yourself... But at the end of the month I'm heading to Oregon for a week long ride with my cousin on the 2nd annual "Two Cousin's Epic Ride"......hmmm that sounded better in my head..
