14/46--How long of a chain

stock is 106. I had 13/45 before I sold my KLX. I went with a 108 from denniskirk.com- around $60 and it was X-ring. That's what I'd go for. But, I would only go up to 45 in the back, otherwise you'll be running very high rpms on road. But, if you want to save a lot of money, just buy the 13-tooth for the front. This will save you the cost of a new chain and rear sprocket which will be around $100 together. The 13-toother is only around $13. Doing the 13-toother up front is exactly the same as sticking with the oem 14and installing a 45 to replace the oem 42 in back.
Thanks.
I already have the sprockets, I bought an extra set of wheels to run full knobbies on & run either full street or close to it DS tires on my original set.
The"dirrt" rear already had a 46 Renthal on it from when I bought it so I just need to get a chain to use it. I will run stock gearing on my "street" wheel set so the 46 being too much is not a concern.
