The rear for the KLX300 is the same for our KLX250S. Ordered mine from www.rockymountainatv/mc.com.

ok...good tips...actually I was considering a 47 for mine in the rear and i'll have a 13T front on hand for my off highway adventures which will become quite frequent. My atv has been parked for some time as this thing is too much fun.I ride alot of PA. coal country so the 13/47 will be pretty good i'm sure.I'll prolly run 14/47 as a comuter setup as i only have 8 miles of twisty backroads to work.I will prolly end up with the 47T rear from rockymountain atv as i love their website and might as well be a regular there.......and it's steel to so it'll last longer than the alum. Renthal.

Truckman:
I want to do the 14/47 also. Let me know how it works out. I rarely ride over 60mph. I currently run a 13/42 and it's abnoxious loud. Maybe not hurting anything but it bugs me.

What size chain would I need for the 14/47 setup? What do you think would be my speed at say, 7000rpm in 6th?
